The Municipality of Mértola reinforces the “Don’t Leave Home” project, We Come to You” with home support care, due to the worsening of the epidemiological situation caused by the Covid pandemic 19.
The city hall of “Vila Museu” will guarantee the population the provision of Home Support Care by a specialized team of geriatric assistants hired to provide hygiene care and health status monitoring to people with a positive diagnosis of Covid-19, who are isolated at home and dependent on the care of a third person.
The statement to the Chamber of Mértola justifies that “this will be merely exceptional and temporary support, only intended for people with a positive Covid diagnosis 19, who do not require hospitalization or nursing care, but what, facing positive diagnosis by Covid 19, their dependency situation has worsened ”, justify.
The Municipality of Mértola, taking into account the needs of the population at this specific time, will reinforce the project team “Don't Leave Home, We Let You Go ”with two direct action helpers to provide home support to residents who, having been specifically flagged by the Public Health Authority.
According to the city council are citizens who have a positive diagnosis of Covid 19 and temporarily need, due to the worsening state of dependence due to the symptoms associated with the disease, support in daily hygiene and food care at home, the main purpose of which will be to ensure a closer surveillance and monitoring of people's health status.
