The Mértola Biological Station will today be the stage of the Plenary Council of Euroaaa, the highest decision -making body of cooperation between Alentejo, The Algarve and Andalusia.
This plenary session will bring together the main institutional leaders of the three territories to analyze the activity report 2023-2024, discuss the future of Euro-Regional cooperation, present the new strategy of Baixo Guadiana and celebrate the passage of the presidency of Euroaaa.
The ceremony will be attended by the Assistant Minister and Territorial Cohesion Manuel Castro Almeida, of the high institutional entities of the three territories involved, including the president of CCDR Alentejo, I.P. (Current President of Euroaaa), António Ceia da Silva, the presidents of the Algarve CCDR, I.P., José Apolinário and the Andaluzia Board, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, as well as mayors and representatives of various regional entities and transionic entities.
Among the priorities of the work community «European Alentejo-Algarve-Andaluzia» is the reinforcement of international competitiveness, promoting sustainable and balanced development and the coordination of projects that can benefit from the co -finance of the European Union.
