A Mértola Book Fair, the great Book Festival, is coming!
Organized by the Municipality of Mértola through the Municipal Library, This initiative aims to promote a taste for books, through reading and many other literacies.
The event will have its “headquarters” at the Multipurpose Pavilion/Expo Mértola, with extended hours between 9h30 e as 20h00.
“Still and Always April!” sets the tone for the cultural program of the Fair that takes place between 25 and 30 November.
In the year in which the 50 years of the Revolution of 25 April we consider it important to join these celebrations. The exhibition/sale of books is in itself an act of democracy.
Also, this year, are celebrated 500 years of the birth of our greatest poet: Camões. One of the greatest exponents of the Portuguese language, symbol of Portugality, will be remembered and his work will be presented to our students in a unique concert.
The Municipality leaves the invitation: “Many other surprises are part of this annual event. Here you can also purchase Christmas Gifts. We wait for you, join the great Book Festival!”
