Mértola: Honey Fair, Cheese and Bread, of 22 a 24 April.
Mértola gets 22 a 24 April the eighteenth Honey Fair, Cheese and Bread, a municipal initiative that gives to know the best of traditional products produced in the county.
In addition to honey, cheese and bread, the Fair has in recent years made known other products, as wine, herbs and sausages.
Durantes the three-day event producers give to know their products in festive atmosphere. On the first day, after the official opening, the music is in charge of current animation "Sandman" and the group "Mato Bravo", an evening with old-fashioned Bailarico.
Saturday, 23 April, World Book Day, It is celebrated at the Fair with an initiative that has honey, bread and cheese in literature and oral tradition. The program includes lots of musical entertainment, especially the shows with "Friends of Pinguinha" and "New Dawn".
On the last day of the event, the Fair grounds also receive the traditional fair April. The music will be traditional Alentejo, yet, more represented with the performance of choral groups in the region and the group "Ideal Alentejo".
The Honey Fair, Cheese and bread has several taverns where visitors can sample some of the delicacies in the county confecionadas.
