A man of 50 year old, suffered serious injuries to the face and upper limbs, after being burned with a cylinder of a flammable product inside a restaurant, in the village of Mértola.
The accident occurred at about 13,17 hours, when a customer who was having lunch, was hit by the explosion. Second it was possible to determine, the injured person is the department head of a company located in Beja, county where you reside.
Once stabilized at the site of occurrence, the injured person was transported to the Mértola Municipal Stadium, where he was transported to the Burns Unit of the Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra (CHUC), in a state regarded as "very serious".
In the rescue were involved 14 Operations of the Volunteer Firefighters of and GNR of Mértola, medical car emergency and resuscitation (VMER) from Beja Hospital and INEM helicopter from Évora.
