The nativity scene “Do Lixo I make Art” by António Costa is inaugurated today in Mértola and can be visited until today 6 January.
the inauguration, scheduled for this day 1 December at 4:30 pm in the Multipurpose Tent, features the performance of Pedro Mestre – Folclore de Natal, windows and kings, and participation of students from the first cycle of the county.
Every year the artist renews the crib with new settings, through the use of materials that no longer fulfill their original function, as is the case with fabrics, paper, ceramic objects and appliances motors.
with a lot of art, dedication, ingenuity and imagination, the artist brings the characters to life by betting on movement, nos sons, in the smells and lighting in a unique and stunning setting. By creating a magical environment, made from recycled materials, the artist intends to celebrate the holy family and the christmas spirit.
The nativity scene can be visited until 6 January 2023, from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 19:00.
