The Municipality of Mértola received for the 13th consecutive year the flag of “Autarquia + Family Responsible".
It was during a ceremony that took place last day 6 December in the Auditorium of the Rectory of the University of Coimbra.
This is a distinction awarded by the Observatory of Family-Responsible Local Authorities (OAFR) and aims to reward good practices and policies developed that result in the improvement of the well-being and quality of life of families residing in the municipality.
In particular with regard to initiatives to support maternity and paternity, support for families with special needs, the education, housing, transport, health or culture and sport.
