The Municipality of Mértola celebrates 12 years of an especially significant distinction for families: that of "Autarchy + Family Responsible".
This is a distinction awarded by the Observatory of Family-Responsible Local Authorities (OAFR) and aims to reward good practices and policies developed that materialize in improving the well-being and quality of life of families residing in the Municipality.
In particular with regard to initiatives to support maternity and paternity, investment in education, to reinforcement campaigns in the area of ​​health, to improve the housing conditions of the population, special support for the elderly population.
The Municipality of Mértola receives this distinction for the 12th consecutive year and will be present at the ceremony of handing over the Flag of “Autarchy + Family Responsible", organized by the Observatory of Family-Responsible Local Authorities (OAFR) which will take place to 26 January 2023.
The Education Division, Health and Social Development is already working on new projects towards the 13th banner.
