The Parish Council of Mértola made an investment, in Corte Gafo de Cima, through delegation of powers from the City Council, at a value of around € 25,000 (twenty five thousand euros).
In the precinct of the old Primary School of the village, a leisure space was created for the entire population residing in that locality., where children's equipment was installed, as well as physical activity for the senior population.
The purpose of the requalification of this space, through the creation of an inter-national park, is to maintain its function as a meeting point and to enable the socialization of users of various age groups throughout the year, as well as the exterior restoration of the old primary school in the village, building with a lot of social importance for residents and natives of that locality.
