Mértola: Second screen with Spanish heavy ore transport vehicles.

Heavy climbed the metal rails protection and crashed violently into a eucalyptus which started, completely damaging the cabin, leaving the driver imprisoned. The vehicle belongs to a Spanish transport company that makes the ore transhipment of Aljustrel mines to mining complex in Huelva (Spain).

The victim was transported to the Beja Hospital, by Mértola Fire, with the support of VMER that medical unit. On site were 15 operational, fire, supported VMER and GNR, five vehicles. The vehicle was removed from the site by a large crane about the 15,30 hours.

This is the second accident within six months with Spanish heavy vehicles doing the same RIPO transport and very near where, in 4 April, It was the overturning of another vehicle that left a Spanish driver jailed 28 year old.
