Mértola gets 27 a 29 April XX Honey Fair, Cheese and Bread, a municipal initiative that gives to know the best of traditional products produced in the county.
In addition to honey, cheese and bread, the Fair has in recent years made known other products, as wine, herbs and sausages.
Durantes the three-day event producers give to know their products in festive atmosphere (program). On the first day, after the official opening, will take place the presentation of the launch trailer of the documentary nature of the Guadiana Valley. The musical entertainment is the responsibility of Brasa gilded groups and Earth Beautiful.
Saturday, by 14h00, runs a workshop entitled "Hands-on", which is followed by an open discussion on "our daily bread day". Music is a constant in the room at the fair and on the second day take center stage in the "Friends of Pinguinha", "Mata Bicho" and "D'Contract".
On the last day of the event, the Fair grounds also receive the traditional fair April. The music will be traditional Alentejo, yet, more represented with the performance of Guadiana choirs of Mértola, The Reapers Serpa, Cantadeiras Redondo, Female Roses April River Mills and House of the People Amareleja.
The Honey Fair, Cheese and bread has several taverns where visitors can sample some of the delicacies in the county confecionadas.
