Moura: Municipal Emergency Plan Activated
Municipal Civil Protection Commission of Moura activated the Municipal Emergency Plan in view of the increased risk of spreading the pandemic.
The imminence of the increase in the number of infected with COVID-6, after the second case in the county is known, emergency meeting, the Municipal Civil Protection Commission (CMPC) activated the Municipal Emergency Plan, justifying that it is “due to family relationships and difficulty in containment, could represent an increased risk of spreading the pandemic ”, justifies CMPC.

In the document, the CMPC also justifies that the activation of this instrument to guide the pandemic is also due to the “high number of elderly people in institutions, in an increased vulnerable situation, could become a serious problem ”, maintaining that everything will be made in close articulation and municipal and district structures.

The first case was detected on Saturday after the group returned to Moura after undergoing treatment at the Hemodialysis Service of Hospital de Beja. The man felt bad, went to the Health Center, having been transported to Beja, under suspicion of having contracted the coronavirus, what came to be confirmed.
JN found that with this 33 positive cases in the district of Beja, distributed by counties, this way: Serpa-17, Beja-6, Odemira, Almodôvar and Moura-2 cases each and Castro Verde, Cuba, Mértola and Ferreira do Alentejo-1 house in each. Still without known cases are the municipalities of Alvito, Aljustrel, Canyons, Ourique and Vidigueira.
