Olive thefts in the Beja district continue to increase. The receipt of stolen olives is one of the serious problems of the circuit.
The Territorial Command Beja, through the Territorial Post of Moura, day 31 October, detained a man and a woman red-handed, of 40 and 42 year old, por theft, in the municipality of Moura.
As part of a complaint for olive theft, the Guard soldiers went to the place where they discovered that the suspects were picking olives, without being authorized to do so by the owner.
Following police investigations, The suspects were detained and it was possible to apprehend 25 kilos of olives.
The detainees were made defendants and the facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Moura.
