An investment 5 million euros allows to recover more than 40 work posts. The Minister for the Environment and Climate Action, João Pedro Matos Fernandes, visit the municipality of Moura tomorrow.
The ruler, which will be accompanied by the Secretary of State for Nature Conservation, Forests and Land Use Planning, João Paulo Catarino, will preside at the protocol signing ceremony for the management of threatened habitats and species and the improvement of visitation conditions in the Contenda Forest Perimeter. The signing of the document will take place at Herdade da Contenda, by 09:00.
After signing this protocol, the Minister João Pedro Fernandes, and the Deputy Secretary of State for Energy, John Galamba, will witness the start-up of the new factory of flexible photovoltaic solar panels and high-temperature lithium batteries in Moura. This is a project developed by the company Lux Optimeyes Energy, Lda, a consortium between the Portuguese Lux Group, led by Rui Torrão and Paulo Torrão, with credits signed in the tourism sector, and the entrepreneur Miguel Matias, over 25 years of industry experience, former Director of Innovation at Galp Energia and founder of the Self Energy Group and Optimeyes Energy Ltd, London based.
The ceremony, scheduled for 11:00 Friday, consists of signing the lease of the former Moura Fábrica Solar, as well as a memorandum of understanding between the group of investors and the Municipality of Moura for the implementation of an innovative industrial project for the combined production of lightweight flexible solar panels and another of high-efficiency lithium batteries, in an initial investment of about 5 million, reimbursed by POAlentejo in about 2,96 million, and which should recover in the municipality of Moura more than 40 direct “green” jobs, a part of which highly qualified, and others 200 indirect jobs in promotion, sale, development and installation of solutions to be manufactured.
