The Territorial Command Beja, through the Criminal Investigation Nucleus (NIC) Moura, on 17 November, seized more than a ton and a half of poppy capsules, Papaver somniferum, in the municipality of Moura.
Following an investigation, the Guard military carried out a house search where it was possible to verify several bags containing poppy capsules, in total 1 540 pounds, culminating in his apprehension. Following the action, various material related to drug trafficking was also seized..
The facts were communicated to the Judicial Court of Moura and the seized product will be sent to the Scientific Police Laboratory of the Judiciary Police (PJ) for analysis.
