Moura: Municipality signs agreement with Mineraqua.
It is signed the next day 14 January the protocol between the Municipality of Moura and Portugal Mineraqua, company holding the brand Water Castello, recently acquired by Beers Center.
The document signing between the two parties provides for up to two monthly trips, consisting of the Water Theme Trail "From the Castello to Pisões". Activity inserted in the local development strategy, where it is intended to value the territorial assets "Water" in its different dimensions as a natural heritage, cultural and landscape.
The partnership now established between the municipality of Moura and Portugal Mineraqua is essential to publicize the historical importance of Castello brand experience in the city of Moura. This protocol is part of this municipal strategy in order to preserve the "memory" and enhance this "past" as a cultural and tourism, intending to also involve the school community in the county.
The day 14 January was chosen for the signature of this protocol, since it was precisely the 14 January 1899 the Municipality of Moura signed the exclusive contract with Maximo Julio Pereira and AntĂłnio de Assis Camilo, for the "export of mineral and medicinal waters" of the then Moura village, starting here Water Castello taking its first steps.
This initiative also represents the culmination of the celebrations of 120 years of the brand, which contemplated a number of initiatives carried out during the year 2019.
The protocol signing session held in Moura Castle grounds, site of the first operating unit, by 14:30, do dia 14 January, subsequently held the Water Theme Trail "From the Castello to Pisões".
