The Municipality of Moura is part of the National CircularNet Network – Platform for circularity: Community, Business and Natural Environment.
It is one of the four Networks of Circular Cities established at national level, oriented towards, in particular, for the priority theme Urban Economy for Circularity.
In this context, the first working meeting took place in Moura, which brought together several local and regional entities that are strategic partners for the development of this project in the municipality.
Present at this meeting were, beyond the Municipality of Moura, Parishes of the Union de Moura and Santo Amador, a National Republican Guard, to ADC Moura, to Resialentejo, the Moura School Group, the Amareleja School Group, the Professional School of Moura, the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, the Municipality of Figueira da Foz and the General Directorate of the Territory.
CircularNet is led by the Municipality of Figueira da Foz and includes the municipalities of Arco de Valdevez, Watch, Monforte, Moura, Victoria Beach, Tavira and Vila Nova de Famalicão as partners. One of the main objectives of this network is precisely to design an Integrated Local Action Plan within the scope of the Urban Economy for Circularity., integrating development principles of the Local Action Plan. It should also be noted that the actions that will result from this Plan will be subject to funding from the various PRR programs (Recovery and Resilience Plan) and other sources of funding.
