The councilor of the Municipality of Beja, Marisa Saturnino is the candidate for the presidency of the Federative Structure of Socialist Women of Baixo Alentejo, for the next biennium.
Training Social Worker, has been a member of the Socialist Party since 2011 and assumes that it intends to build a joint project, structured and able to contribute to rethinking life in society and public policies, particularly in the area of ​​Human Rights.
The candidate considers that in a region, whose territory has a considerable dimension, there are particular specificities and needs that are fundamental to know and interpret, to create an impact on the daily life of the District's population and promote alternative and innovative responses, based on common goals.
It also proposes to raise awareness and train to strengthen the civic and political participation and intervention of women in regional public life., in order to promote their empowerment and ensure equal representation, fair and balanced decision-making processes.
Another of the objectives advocated by this political project is to intensify the articulation and work with the municipal structures, federative, nationals and civil society itself, through its involvement in initiatives of the Federative Structure.
The application will be formalized until the day 21 October and the elections will take place on the next day 5 November.
