passed away this morning, to 74 year old, victim of sudden illness Hilton Targino da Silva, former player of Desportivo de Beja and father of also former player Tiago Targino.
Hilton, married to Dona Graça and father of four children, known as “PAPERS”, arrived at Desportivo de Beja in the 1980/1981 (in the second photo from the bottom left), where he stayed for four years, then returned to 1987/1988 city club Pax-Júlia, where you lived ago 41 year old.
Born in João Pessoa, city in the state of Paraíba, in eastern Brazil, in 23 September 1948, Hilton started playing football for Botafogo de Paraíba in 1965, having 1971/72 arrived in Portugal to take Portimonense to the 1st Division, club where he stayed until 1977. In the following season he played for Lusitano de Évora, having then worn the Olhanense jersey for two seasons.
After Desportivo de Beja, Hilton headed to Moura where he played for three seasons, returning again to Beja and to Desportivo. He also passed through Alvorada de Ervidel and Sobralense (Sobral da Adiça) where did the career end. Later he was also coach of the youth team of Desportivo de Beja.
