Odemira: 8Th Feast of sweet potato in the Knight 21 a 23 October.
The 8th edition of the Sweet Potato Festival is scheduled for the days 21, 22 and 23 October, in the locality Knight, in the parish of S.Teotónio, in Odemira coastline.
In addition to the sweet potato and sale of various regional sweets in which this product is used, there will be sweet potato evidence roasted and cooked. Entries are free.
The initiative is promoted by the Sports and Cultural Center Knight, with the support of the Municipality of Odemira and Board of S Parish. Teotonio.
Knight is the zone of greater production of sweet potato in Odemira, and the Feast of the sweet potato has as main objective to support local producers, disseminate and drain the product and boost the locality.
The initiative will begin at 19.30 horas do dia 21 October, Friday, the Sports and Cultural Center Knight, with the official opening of the festival. Para as 21.00 hours is scheduled the group's performance "With Soul" (Portuguese music and Latin American).
On Saturday, day 22 October, a partir the 9.00 hours, will be sold and sweet potato trials and craft shows. During a later, a partir the 15.00 hours, there will be the performance of the Coral S Group. LuÃs. The day will end with the performance by the traditional music group Banza.
No Sunday, the tendinhas open from 11.00 hours and the 13.30 hours will be the performance of the Folkloric Group of the House of Vila Nova de Milfontes People, seguida de matinee, no Social Center, with accordionist Ricardo Alves.
During the three days, the Knight of the restaurants will have menus in your various dishes and sweets to the sweet potato.
