More than a thousand participants in six sports together for a mission, on 10 June, the coastline of the municipality of Odemira once again receives Atlantic breezes.
It is a multidisciplinary sporting event, between Almograve and Zambujeira do Mar, which annually mobilizes more than a thousand participants for a true day of sporting celebration, with athletics modalities, BTT, cycle tourism, adapted sport, orienteering and hiking, in an organization of the Municipality of Odemira, in partnership with several entities.
Brisas do Atlântico has competition and leisure aspects, being the competitive aspect in Run modalities & Bike and Athletics (Half marathon, Courier and Adapted Sport) and cycle tourism, BTT, orienteering and hiking in the leisure sector.
As in previous editions, Brisas do Atlântico's mission is to finance causes/projects that promote Inclusion through Sports Practice to be developed by associations/institutions that carry out their work in the municipality in the most different areas. Entities in the municipality of Odemira will be able to submit their applications until the day 3 June (send by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt to: Municipality of Odemira, Sports and Health Division, Republic square, 7630-139 Odemira or by email to desporto@cmodemira.pt).
The value of registrations goes towards the competing projects/causes most voted by Brisas do Atlântico participants, on 10 June, no final da prova.
The race starts at Praia do Almograve, with the concentration set for the 8.00 hours. The event is open to all athletes, federated and non-federated, with monetary prizes for the various levels in the competition modalities. On the competitive side, athletics and running events & bike have a route of 21,1 km, which connects Almograve to Zambujeira do Mar. In terms of leisure, there are two walking routes with 4 km e 8,5 km, mountain biking and cycle tourism with trails 20 km e 25 km and the orienteering test (treasure hunt for groups and families) with 5 km that will run between the beach and the village of Almograve.
