At the Territorial post of the GNR in Odemira, a military officer tested positive for covid-19, with a total of seven soldiers in compulsory isolation in their homes ”, the information was confirmed by the Public Relations of the General Command of Guarda, following the questions posed by Lidador Notícias (LN).
The same source also confirmed that "the facilities were disinfected on Thursday", by specialists from the Emergency Protection and Relief Unit (UEPS) da GNR.
LN questioned the number of staff at the Odemira post (old post photo) and if there was a need to use military personnel from other sub-units of the Territorial Detachment of Vila Nova de Milfontes, Public Relations responded that the situation “did not result in any limitation to the fulfillment of the GNR mission”, justified.
