Odemira: Municipal commission Aging brings grandparents and grandchildren to the Lisbon Zoo
Under the "Grandparents Day" to be celebrated tomorrow, day 26 July, the Municipal Commission for the Elderly will provide a different day to about 80 grandparents and grandchildren of Odemira municipality promoting a visit to Lisbon Zoo.
The Municipal Commission for the Elderly, created in November 2014, It is responsible for defining and articulating a public policy aimed at promoting, protection and defense of the county's elderly, to improve the quality of life, social inclusion, promoting civic participation and dignity of the elderly.
In this context, under Municipal Pano Activities 2015 the City of the Elderly Commission, and with the objective to promote a day of coexistence between grandparents and grandchildren, the next day 26 July, Sunday, next to 80 grandparents and grandchildren of Odemira will spend the day exploring the Lisbon Zoo. This initiative aims to promote intergenerational living and strengthen family ties, in contexts where the elderly takes on a more important role.
The inputs and transport are provided by the Municipality of Odemira, and each senior can be accompanied by a grandchild.
