A man's body was found “a boiar” in Porto das Barcas, in Zambujeira do Mar, early on Monday. The causes of the “origin of the occurrence”.
The announcement was made in a statement by the National Maritime Authority (AMN), explaining that with are unaware “the causes that are at the origin” of this incident, in Odemira.
“Following an alert received at 6:30 am, through the Coastal and Border Control Unit (UCCF) da National Republican Guard (GNR), crew from the Sines Lifeguard station were immediately activated to the scene, as well as elements of the local command of the Maritime Police of Sines and the Red Cross of Colos”, reads the note.
Death was declared at the scene by the Health Delegate and the man's body was transported to the Baixo Alentejo Medical-Legal and Forensic Office by the Colos Red Cross., after authorization from the Public Prosecutor's Office.
“The Maritime Police Psychology Office has been activated and is providing support to the victim's family. The local Command of the Maritime Police of Sines took care of the occurrence”, concludes AMN in the note.
