Odemira: Detected 66 infractions in inspection operations against foreign citizens.


The Coastal and Border Control Unit (UCCF), through the Territorial Immigration Inspection Centers (NFTI) of the Portimão and Lisbon Border Guard Detachments, carried out an inspection of foreign citizens, in Odemira.

Within the scope of the Guard's powers relating to the control of foreign citizens in national territory, this action was developed to support the Beja Territorial Command, in view of recent legal changes regarding entry conditions and procedures, permanence, exit and removal of foreign citizens from Portuguese territory.

From action, resulted in the inspection of 610 foreign nationals, and the elaboration of 66 administrative offense notices due to lack of notification of entry into National Territory, after a period of three business days. Ten infraction notices were also drawn up for non-compliance with laws and regulations relating to land transport and road transport.

The operation was reinforced by military personnel from the Territorial branches, Traffic and Intervention of the Beja Territorial Command and three binomials of the Évora Section of the Cinotechnical Intervention Group.

The action also included the collaboration of the Agency for Migration and Asylum Integration (AIMA) and the Borders and Foreigners Coordination Unit (CFE).
