A man of 39 years he was detained by the Judiciary Police (PJ) on suspicion of having raped a girl from 14 year old, in the Savoy area, in Odemira.
In a statement, the PJ indicated that the suspect was detained by members of the Criminal Investigation Department (DIC) of Portimão from this police force because there are “suspected of having committed two crimes of aggravated rape” against a minor.

Contacted by Lusa agency, A Judiciary Police source said the victim is the suspect's stepdaughter.
Not shown, the PJ emphasized that the girl was forced by the alleged attacker to “surrender to silence” and just broke it “at school”.
The detainee, with a history of domestic violence, This was the first judicial interrogation, having been applied to coercive measure of preventive detention.
The same source said the man was detained on Wednesday and, after the most serious coercive measure has been applied by the court, was sent to the Silves Prison, no Algarve.
