Odemira: WWTP S.Teotónio came into operation.
It is complete and running the new Water Treatment Plant - WWTP and lift system S. Teotonio, in Odemira, an investment company Public Alentejo Waters (Owned), no value 1.734.098,00 of euros.
The work was co-financed in 85% by EU funds, through the Operational Program Sustainable and Efficient Use of Resources (SETTER).
The contract for the design and construction of the wastewater treatment plant and lift system was awarded to the consortium Domingos da Silva Teixeira / DTE - Special Installations, S.A.
The new plant can treat the waste water from the entire population of S. Teotonio, comprises about 2.100 population. The new equipment also has a reception system and pre-treatment of sludge from septic tanks and other sewage treatment plants in the region.
This investment complements another made by agda S. Teotonio, no value of € 162,124.00, that allowed off two septic tanks and build a intercetor system to forward all sewage to the treatment plant, and was co-funded in 56% by EU funds, through the Territorial Enhancement Operational Program (POVT).
A AgdA – Alentejo Public Water, S.A. is the entity responsible for the operation and management of the Public System of Integrated Partnership Alentejo Waters, covering 21 municipalities belonging to the Alentejo, Alentejo Central and Alentejo Litoral. Aims to ensure quality, continuity and efficiency of public services of water supply and wastewater treatment to the resident population, in the order of 200.000 population.
