Odemira: Witticism 2016, the great event of the South takes place in July in S.Teotónio.
It is scheduled for day 22, 23 and 24 July, S. Teotonio, the next edition of FACECO - Fair of Cultural Activities and the Economic Odemira Municipality, promoted by the municipality of Odemira, in partnership with several entities.
This event will aim to promote the area, of its products and activities, collectives and local actors, enhance the business and cultural fabric and attract new entrepreneurs and investors to the county.
Livestock, agriculture, tourism, an intense entertainment and gastronomy program will be the strengths of the event.
The presence of the livestock sector will once again be strong enough, with the completion of various exhibitions and competitions of various races. As for several years, the Limousine cattle breed will be in highlight, because FACECO receives the 28th National Competition.
The event is the meeting point and business between domestic and foreign creators, in what is the municipality where the headquarters of the race Breeders Portuguese Association of Bovine Limousine and the most effective race.
Also in the livestock sector, note to the achievement of the 13th Regional Competition of the cattle breed Holstein Frisian and 21 Regional Competition of Cabra Charnequeira. It will be also promoted the 17th Contest of Honey.
The FACECO will be the showcase of the capabilities of Odemirense territory, patents in various economic activities, social and cultural, represented by various exhibitors. The local crafts will be dedicated an exhibition pavilion, with artisans working live.
The animation of the venue and the shows are again major attraction of FACECO, with many activities for all audiences, from music, Theatre, Sing Alentejo, dance, sports and lots of children's entertainment. Highlight the music for the performance of Melech Mechaya group (22 July), Anakim (23 July) and ATOA (24 July).
