Odemira: Matches of the U21 men's handball teams of Portugal and Germany.


The village of Odemira will host two games of the Men's Under-21 National Teams of Portugal and Germany, on days 14 and 15 October, to prepare for next year's World Cup.

The National Team starts the internship on Monday, day 10 October, staying in Vila Nova de Milfontes, and will be received by the Mayor of Odemira on the 12, Wednesday, by 10.30 hours, at the Town Hall in Odemira. The Germany team joins the Portuguese delegation on the day 13 October.

The Municipal Sports Pavilion, in Odemira, will be the stage for training and for the two games between Portugal and Germany, scheduled for the day 14 of october by 20.00 hours, and for the day 15 October, by 17.00 hours, with free entries.

The National Coach, Charles Martingo, released the call for the internship in Odemira, that will count on 16 athletes, of which 10 played in the European Championship, M20 EHF Euro 2022, held in Portugal, where the Portuguese team won the silver medal. The German team was ranked 7th in the last European.

Portugal is already qualified for the 24th IHF Men’s Junior (U21) World Championship, which will be jointly organized by Germany and Greece and will take place between the 20 June and 2 July 2023.
