The Municipality of Odemira provides the total amount of 502 thousand euros for sporting activity prizes for the season 2023/2024, within the scope of the Odemira Ativa Program. The application phase runs until the next day 15 of September.
The Odemira Ativa Program aims to expand and adapt measures to support sport and seeks to stimulate the associative movement to promote forms of physical activity that, through organized participation, promote the improvement of physical and mental condition, the development of social relationships or obtaining results in competition at all levels.
The regulations for the Odemira Ativa Program provide for financing within a set of 18 measurements, diversified in the context and dimension of the intervention, regular activity, medical exams/insurance/membership, specialized technical support, tournaments, technical graduation, adapted sport, congresses and training, promotion of physical activity, competitive internships, travel support, sports facilities, vehicle acquisition and repair, equipping of sports equipment, leasing of headquarters and multi-annual sports projects.
Non-profit collective sports entities can benefit from the support provided if they have their headquarters and tax residence in the municipality of Odemira and are duly registered in the Municipal Register of Sports Clubs (RMCD).
