The Municipality of Odemira has open applications for support provided for in the Municipal Regulation for Support to Hunting Activities.
The project aims to conserve the environment, the reestablishment of ecological balance and the preservation of fauna and flora, the creation and improvement of conditions that enable the promotion of hunting species and the sustainable management of hunting resources, defending the forest against fires, food safety and health defense, the promotion and valorization of hunting products and the compatibility of hunting with other economic activities in rural areas.
The Municipality of Odemira has been developing measures to enhance, promote and support hunting activity in the municipality, where the Municipal Regulation for Support to Hunting Activity stands out, pioneer at national level.
This initiative aims to promote the sustainable exploitation of hunting resources present in 139 Hunting Zones (ZC) located in the municipality of Odemira, of which 28 municipal hunting areas (ZCM), 90 associative hunting zones (ZCA) and 21 tourist hunting areas (ZCT).
In municipal services there is a Hunting Office, for product valorization, provision of technical support to managing entities, promotion of training actions, colloquiums and conferences and management of the Municipal Regulations to Support Hunting Activities.
Applications for municipal support for hunting activities are open until the day 16 of September, through a form available online at: www.cm-odemira.pt/p/atividadecinegetica.
