Odemira: Municipality promotes initiative “Liven up the summer”, during the months of July and August.
"Animate the summer", is the initiative of the Municipality of summer that leads to Odemira Almograve, Vila Nova de Milfontes and Zambujeira do Mar.
During the month of July and August nights, there will be lots of entertainment in the cities of Almograve, Milfontes and Zambujeira do Mar, in Odemira coastline, tourist destinations chosen by domestic and foreign for vacation days.
The program offers a lot of music, from alentejano singing and traditional music, fado e jazz, folklore, Theatre, dances and more.
August is also the month of the Religious Festivities in Honor of Our Lady of the Sea in Zambujeira do Mar (on 15 August), in Honor of Our Ladies of the Navigators in Almograve (between 18 and 20 August) and Our Grace of Honor in Vila Nova de Milfontes (19 and 20 August).
The activities are promoted by the municipality of Odemira, Freguesia of Longueira boards / Almograve, S. Teotónio and Vila Nova de Milfontes and several private and artistic entities.
