Odemira: Christmas program for the whole family.


Of 11 a 15 of December, Sousa Prado Street, in Odemira village, welcomes the magic and Christmas spirit with the 1st edition of “Natal na Vila de Odemira” and a program full of surprises and entertainment, an initiative promoted by the municipality of Odemira.

Christmas fair, handicraft, regional products, musical and children's animation, workshops, tastings and sporting activities are some of the highlights of the program that seeks to provide residents and visitors with a Christmas full of light and joy, with activities and moments of entertainment for all ages.

The official opening of “Christmas in Vila de Odemira” will take place on Wednesday, day 11 of December, with activities scheduled between 2pm and 5pm. On this day there will be wine tasting at Adega Monte do Verdelho, two craft workshops and a cooking moment at the “Em Odemira the Chef Sou Eu” Academy.

In the afternoon of the day 12 highlighting the “Wood Carving” workshops, by artisan Ricardo Marques (14h00), and “Ceramics” by artisan Ana Sofia Rafael (17h00).

On 13, in addition to workshops and wine tasting at Adega dos Nascedios, musical moments will be promoted by the Choir of the Senior University of Odemira (17h00), Odemira Children’s Choir Group “Cá Se Canta” (18h00) and, to end the night, the B Side group (21h15).

On 14 highlight for the street by Banda do Carteiro (18h30) and for the performance of Moços do Mira (21h15).

The morning of the day 15 starts with a Christmas Walk, within the scope of the Pegadas do Mira project, and in the afternoon two workshops are scheduled with creative ideas for this Christmas. The 1st edition of “Christmas in Vila de Odemira” ends with the Arruada of the Odemira Philharmonic Band.

Over the four days, there will be guaranteed entertainment for the youngest with lots of activities in the Children's Space. The Allies at Christmas Campaign, promoted by TAIPA, which promotes the collection and offering of toys, also be present.
