The population of Odemira presented 51 proposals for public investment in the process 2021 Participatory Budget (ON).
Of the proposals presented 22 are for the process promoted by the Municipality and other 29 for the processes promoted by the Parishes.
The proposal submission phase closed at the end of June, the proposals will now be subjected to technical analysis, which will take the validated proposals to the voting phase, occurring during the months of October and November, via SMS and on the online page www.op.cm-odemira.pt.
Invigorated since 2011, Odemira's OP is the oldest and most uninterrupted participatory process in the country. This is the 11th edition, with a completely dematerialized process and the overall value of 300 thousand euros for the proposed municipal, of a material and immaterial nature, up to 75 thousand euros. No OP Municipal 150 thousand euros are allocated to projects in parishes in the interior with a population of less than 1500 inhabitants and 150 thousand euros for projects in the parishes of the coast and / or with a population of 1500 population. Cross-cutting projects can also be presented. The Parish OPs have the value of 10 thousand euros each.
The proposals presented focus on the requalification of public spaces, creation of spaces and services for children, collection and dissemination of traditions and issues related to the environment, from water management to waste reduction. It is the citizens who decide which proposals to implement by the Municipality. All citizens from the 14 years, residents, workers or students in the county.
The Participatory Budget is part of the strategy of the Municipality of Odemira to enhance public participation, through positive and constructive factors, based on proximity principles, transparency and opportunity.
