The Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival returns to the municipality of Odemira between the days 2 and 10 September with a program full of cultural diversity from the Mediterranean and Portuguese-speaking world.
With the support of the Municipality of Odemira, the musical and artistic program will be vast and will involve international musicians and artists in concerts and acrobatic circus, among other initiatives with free entrance.
The shows of the 31st edition of the festival start next Saturday, day 2 of September, by 21.30 hours at Quintalão in São Martinho das Amoreiras, with Ana González y Su Gente representing flamenco from the region of Andalusia, offering a night of dancing and singing.
On 3, by 19.00 hours, the Multiusos do Almograve hosts a performance by the Bilbao circus-theater company, Orain-Bie, to 21.30 hours, the concert Med Luso 7Sóis Band will join on the stage of Praça dos Fuzileiros, no Almograve, six Cape Verdean musicians, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal.
The program continues with the Fetén Fetén concert on the 9, to 21.30 hours, at the Recinto de Festivities in Odemira, which offers a journey into the popular and traditional music of the Iberian world with its most characteristic rhythms.
On 10, the festival says goodbye to Odemira with the Catalan musical group Germà Negre, to work in the old grinding mill in Savoy by the 20.30 hours, with a concert that promises a festive atmosphere where it's impossible not to dance.
In addition to the various concerts and shows aimed at the general public, a charity concert is planned at the Odemira Prison, on 4 of September, with Med Luso 7Sóis Band.
Remember that the first moment of the festival takes place between 21 and 25 August, with artistic residency and creation of a work of urban art by the Luxembourgish artist and illustrator Alain Welter.
In 2023, the shows of the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival are part of the September initiative's program, a cultural immersion, which aims to lead to the decentralization and democratization of culture in the municipality of Odemira, giving the month of September a different dynamism.
