Two men, with 18 and 55 year old, They were arrested, On thursday, on suspicion of drug trafficking in the parish of Vila Nova de Milfontes, in Odemira, in Beja.
“The Guard military took steps that made it possible to determine that the two suspects were dedicated to trafficking in that municipality.”, says a statement from the Republican National Guard (GNR), adding that a house search warrant was complied with.
Following the police operation, a GNR apreendeu “481 doses of cannabis, 132 doses of hashish, 3.700 euro cash, 140 munitions, four precision digital scales, a cannabis plant, a portable greenhouse, an alarm pistol, a compressed air rifle, an airsoft gun replica, a wooden bat, a brass knuckles, two melee weapons, a mobile phone and various material related to the packaging of a narcotic product”.
After being present at the first judicial questioning on Friday, both detainees were subject to the coercive measure of preventive detention, having entered into the Prison Beja, where they will await trial.
