A group of four students from the Escola de São Teotónio, in Odemira, they were intoxicated, Wednesday. One of them was assisted at school, the others were taken to the pediatrics service at Hospital de Beja.
The Odemira Firefighters were called early in the morning to a situation of “abdominal pain”, has learned the Lidador News (LN) and mobilized seven operatives to the field, supported by four cars.
One of the girls was assisted at her own school, the other three were considered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital.
Intoxication occurs after, on Friday, another group of students suffered poisoning and were assisted. This day, chocolate consumption has been reported, which raised suspicions among the authorities. In the case of this Wednesday, such consumption was not reported.
LN found that the three girls who are in the pediatrics service at Hospital de Beja “are stable and belong to the group of five who were involved in the situation on Friday who were taken to Hospital Garcia da Orta, in Almada”.
Health authorities are investigating the case to find out what caused the two poisonings..
