The Secretary of State for Labor, Miguel Fontes, accompanied by the vice-president of the Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP), Bernardo Sousa, paid a visit to the Municipality of Odemira.
Miguel Fontes deslocou-se ao Balcão de Atendimento Permanente do IEFP de Odemira para assistir a uma demonstração do projeto-piloto de tradução automática, que no futuro irá facilitar o processo de atendimento a cidadãos estrangeiros.
De forma a melhorar a comunicação no atendimento, o projeto-piloto recorre à inteligência artificial, com recurso a um software de tradução simultânea, para a tradução automática de diferentes idiomas. Reinforcing and improving public services in Odemira has been one of the concerns of the current executive. this service, under development at the Odemira Permanent Service Counter, translates the commitment of the Municipality and the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training to reinforce the presence in the territory, both in terms of qualification of spaces and human resources, both in terms of responsiveness to the population.
The visit was accompanied by the president of the Odemira City Council, Helder Warrior, by councilor Isabel Palma, by the Alentejo Regional Delegate of the IEFP and Director and Deputy Director of the Alentejo Litoral Employment and Professional Training Center.
