Odemira: TAIPA collects toys for needy families in the county.
Campaign “Christmas allies”. The TAIPA promotes collecting toys and food items for families in need of Odemira.
Runs until the day 30 November, in Odemira, the 15th solidarity campaign "Allies at Christmas", to collect toys and food items that will be offered to the neediest families in the county.
The initiative is promoted by TAIPA - Cooperative Organization for the County Integrated Development Odemira, with the support of the Municipality of Odemira, various local communities and enterprises.
Those interested in participating can deliver toys (new or used, but in good condition, because "What is not good for me, It is not good for others!") and foodstuffs (non-perishable) in schools and day care centers, Parish Councils, at the headquarters of TAIPA and several Odemira entities.
After collection phase, the initiative "Allies at Christmas" will offer gifts to children, It is primarily for those who are identified by different organizations of social intervention in Odemira (Social Security, Children Protection Commission and Youth and Community Intervention Projects). In a second stage, between days 19 and 22 of December, Father Christmas will come out to the streets handing out gifts for children around the county, spreading joy and Christmas spirit throughout the community.
Hampers Food will also be distributed by families and seniors flagged for Social Security, Protection Commission of Children and Youth, social projects, parish councils and other entities.
