Odemira: Teatro Só presents a Day at the Market.


Next Sunday, Teatro Só presents “‘Um dia no Mercado” in Odemira, within the scope of the “Desassossega – Cultural Programming” project and in partnership with the Municipality of Odemira.

Between the 13.00 e as 22.00 hours will be promoted one day at the Odemira Municipal Market, where stalls exchange vegetables and fruits for works of art with the exhibition and sale of works by visual artists from the municipality. parallel, the installation with textile waste from Ana Baleia will be on display.

As part of the initiative, the Municipal Market will host the Contopias event, with storyteller Jorge Serafim, for a journey that aims to cross the world and its listeners. The Children's Choral Group of Odemira “Cá se Canta” and guests bring “À Mesa com Cante” and the Dance Group “Soul Beat” presents Hip Hop and traditional dances from Nepal.

Dance, theater and circus are the proposals of Cristiana Casadio and Stefan Sing. In the circus category there will also be the project by Jean Philippe Kikolas and “The Last Moment”. Puppet shows and theater are also part of the program..

The Desassossega project program also includes training on the management and production of cultural and artistic projects, running on days 13 and 14 October at the Odemira Municipal Library. This action is aimed at all those who are part of the cultural and artistic fabric and who develop their activity individually or associated with a collective structure.

Teatro Só is a Portuguese theater company based in Odemira and Berlin, to develop multidisciplinary work relating mask technique, physical theater, circus arts and plastic arts. The Desassossega – Cultural Programming project seeks to create new centers for access to culture and the enjoyment of the arts, involving the community and valuing the traditions and new contemporaneities of the municipality of Odemira.
