The Senior University of Odemira is preparing the start of a new academic year and has open registration for new students. This university is aimed at the entire population over the age of 50 years with a desire to learn and live together.
The new academic year of USO – Universidade Sénior da Odemira had the official opening session in the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejano and Costa Vicentina, with the presence of the Mayor of Odemira, Helder Warrior.
The objective of USO is to promote active aging, positive and healthy through participation in social activities, cultural, scientific, sports, convivial, digital and leisure training.
It is a project created to occupy the free time of individuals who feel motivated to constantly learn different subjects., theoretical and practical, along with socializing.
This academic year we once again have a diverse training offer that covers different areas such as Things Science, Conversations with History, Manual Arts, Water Activities, Yoga, Music, Computing, Paint, among others.
The USO operates in several spaces in the village of Odemira: Headquarters of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, Odemirense Fluvial Club, Music yard, Municipal Swimming Pools and Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Odemira.
