An individual 53 year old, lived in a trailer on private property, when the owner called him to his house and told him that he should leave the place, stuck a knife in his abdomen, who almost tasted his death.
The accused, who is in custody in Prison Beja, is accused of a crime of qualified homicide in the attempted form.
According to the indictment order of the public prosecutor (MP) of Odemira to which JN had access, the events occurred on the night of 23 March last year, in the town of Alpenduradas/Brunheiras, in Vila Nova de Milfontes, place where Cesário J. lived in the trailer “in a situation of favor”. After stabbing the victim, the defendant left the house where the crime occurred, without providing assistance to the victim.
According to the MP Prosecutor, responsible for the prosecution, “the defendant acted with the intention of taking the victim’s life, The injuries caused him more than four months of “professional and work incapacity”, having promoted that in case of conviction, be awarded compensatory compensation to the victim.
The case will be judged today in the Beja Court, and will be the first of 2024 to be composed of a Collective of Judges.
