OE 2019: With impacts in the region. Pensions, Hospital de Beja and Beja-line White House.
Approved proposals in OE 2019: Access regime for pensions of workers of lavarias ore and quarries equated to the mines inside the workers, proposal for early expansion procedures of the Hospital de Beja and the electrification of the railway line between the White House and Beja.
Following proposals of the various parliamentary groups was a special regime of access to disability pensions and old-age workers of ore lavarias and workers in the extraction of quarrying, including sawdust and cutting the raw stone.
This is an important recognition for the workers in these sectors that reinforces the sense of social justice and recognition of the specific functions of performance conditions. A change that will include workers in our region make an important contribution to the integrated development of mining activities.
After the Government of the Socialist Party has approved the draft fiscal contract investment to be concluded between the State and SOMINCOR - Sociedade Mineira de Neves Corvo, in Castro Verde, considering an investment of € 256,6M, by assigning a tax credit on corporate income tax of 9%, and exemption headquarters of stamp duty up to a maximum of € 16.7M, this impulse Parliament contributes to the recognition of the importance of workers and the company to the national economy. It is recalled that the project foresees the creation of 38 jobs by 31 December 2021 and maintenance of all posts to 31 December 2027.
Aprovada proposta para inÃcio dos procedimentos the expansion of Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, in Beja.
The parliament approved a budget proposal that states that in 2019 initiate the procedures required for the expansion of the hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, in Beja. BE's initial proposal raised the affirmative vote of the Socialist Party in the call back to the Committee plenary, following contacts developed by Mr Pedro do Carmo with the direction of the Parliamentary Group of PS. The vote of the Socialist Party contributed to the approval of the proposal determining the realization of an important intervention in healthcare equipment in the region.
So we will continue to beat us for the realization of public investments that are needed, a sustained effort to recover the accrued liabilities and recovery of a set of fundamental public interest for the Baixo Alentejo and the Lower Alentejo.
As we have always said, there is a way that makes walking. Always in the same direction, always with the same voice in Lisbon and Alentejo down, always with a sense of responsibility and focus on people and the territory.
Pedro do Carmo vote in favor of a proposal for the electrification of the railway line between the White House and Beja, presented by ENP
Mr Pedro do Carmo and the PS Parliamentary Group made possible the amendment of the State Budget 2019, presented by ENP, to consecrate that "The Government takes priority proceed to urgent electrification of the railway line between the White House and Beja, taking another step in modernizing the national railway, to ensure a quality transport service and proximity to the population. ".
The proposal is in line with what has been advocated by the elected Beja with the Government, the need to find European funding to enhance the quality of rail service in the Lower Alentejo, overcoming the current situation of lack of investment and deterioration of the conditions of use of the railway on the line between the White House and Beja.
There is much that the railway is a poor relative of the investment framework of various governments and the previous government PSD / CDS when negotiating the current Community framework for support, the Portugal 2020, It did not include any rail investment for Beja.
The deputy Pedro do Carmo has held that in the context of reprogramming Portugal 2020 or in Portugal configuration 2030 funds are needed to achieve the contemplated rail investment accompanying the dynamics of the territory of the Lower Alentejo and population mobility rhythms, and between the White House and Beja, or between Funcheira and Beja, but also between Funcheira and Lisbon.
Politics is made of options depending on availability. This is one investment possible with political will and the appropriate use of our participation in the European process, some dispute.
This structural option electrification of the railway line between the White House and Beja, does not invalidate the urgency of improving traffic conditions and use the train service on the section, with strengthening compositions, passenger comfort and respect for the Lower Alentejo and Baixo Alentejo.
As has been said, we need to respond to the urgency of this and take steps to resolve the structural problems, requiring more investment and that were not a priority for previous governments.
