Eleven detained for the practice of various violent crimes, It is the result of the “Operation Pelourinho” carried out on Tuesday afternoon, Police officers from the Criminal Investigation (EIC) PSP Beja, that culminates more than a year of a long research.
Among the detainees are four young people who make up a violent group of Beja, self -adenominated tchubas composed of a dozen and a half of elements, who already has eight of its members to serve effective arrest or are in preventive, in the overwhelming majority of cases, for attempted murder with white weapons.
The suspects, 7 men and 4 women, aged between 17 and 44 year old, Ten Portuguese and a Brazilian, They were held outside of flagrante delicto, and are suspected of committing crimes such as trafficking in dirty, theft, Burla and offense to physical integrity.
The arrests occurred in various locations in the city, the most relevant being the Praça da República where there is a historical monument of the city, called pelourinho, that named the operation. EIC agents complied with 11 detention warrants out of flagrant offense, whose first target was eight home searches.
