Opinion (José Lúcio / Judge): Public opinion and the opinion which is published.

Check in the big media that the usual reference commentators go in recent times very angry with the public. Apparently the people are disoriented, or at least do not follow their guidelines. See the electorate, that in various parts of the vast world is keen to disobey them.

José Lúcio

(Judge President of Beja County)

I have no grievances. Humble scribe in provincial means Ignotos, I never arroguei me the mass educator claim. Nor ever have been revenue carrier that give miraculous powers of redemption of mankind. Consequently, I do not suffer any special thrill with paths made by the few who may read me, not disturb me off reactions of applause or disagreement. Is life, simply.

And here's the big question that underscores the chagrin of demonstrations or anger we have seen for example in the largely dominant journalism. The ideological systems which underpin the beliefs of commentators seem crumble miserably, and these react inveighing the masses who insist on countering their worldviews, or threatening them with black forecasts.

Given the growing catastrophism can not help but smile, although yellow. The alarmism now prevailing in political commentary called reference explains it is obviously for the overthrow of the political projects and ideological systems that provided the mental pictures of all life for the majority of these commentators. Its root is not in any dreadful reality suddenly awakened, is the immense confusion and frustration of their tenors.

When they seem to collapse the illusions of life, taken up by the stronger intelligence may suffer from hallucinations. For many there may be nothing to do, but I think for many others are at the very moment to reflect on the gulf that seems to deepen between the published opinion and increasingly significant sectors of the public it is intended.

This gap can hardly be overcome with the continuation of a situation where militant vanguards installed in the nerve centers of opinion production struggling to be imposed on people who increasingly ignore, or to rebel openly against what they feel as the impositions of these pretended enlightened elites.

The old conflict between the public opinion and published opinion can no longer be resolved by the triumph of the latter. These days, where the opinion and information circulates so many channels and so many ways, is an anachronism think can succeed journalism done for the cause of journalists. Where it has openly expressed the trend (a 'party of journalists ", united against or in favor of a decisive choice) the results have not been famous. The masses do not like.

ultimately, I suspect that the future of journalism will still have to resort to the rules and principles of journalism of the past. And break this delusional practice plaguing newsrooms and consists so alone in trying to impose their own choices as if they were the only.

As for the time catastrophism, let run that quickly passes.

I, I was never particularly optimistic (and I'm not exactly progressive, for failing to share this naive superstition that the march of history is always forward and to better), I confess that I'm cool. Still will not be tomorrow that the world will end.
