The Municipal Assembly of Ourique approved the Accounts of 2022 of the Municipality, majority, with the favorable vote of the Socialist Party and the abstentions of the Social Democratic Party and the Unitarian Democratic Coalition.
The accounts of 2022 of the Municipality of Ourique present a reduction in Municipal debt, fixing the Municipality's debt in 1, 550 ME and a net result of 663.698 euros, are an important assumption to keep municipal accounts balanced, continue to respond to the needs, opportunities and the development of ongoing projects such as the requalification of EB 2/3 S from Ourique, the new Ourique Business Center, affordable housing or maintaining a wide range of social supports.
According to the Municipality, these are balanced accounts that: “they mean the ability to speed up responses for people and territories and that make it possible to take advantage of national and European funding opportunities to implement concrete projects that improve living conditions, access to essential goods and services and contribute to boosting the local economy, the defense of the Rural World and the attractiveness of the municipality”.
Balanced municipal accounts, to the Municipality “are not an end in themselves, but an instrument to build solutions always focused on people and our lands”.
The Municipality of Ourique will continue in 2023 working to respond to people's needs, in a context of great difficulties and disturbances generated by the war in Ukraine and inflation; keep the accounts balanced to be able to respond to all opportunities that arise to enhance the equipment available to the population and our lands.
The Municipality of Ourique will continue in 2023 to implement the program approved by the electoral, with a new reduction in national taxes that are in the orbit of municipal deliberation.
