Ourique: Local authority has invested over one million euros for rural electrification county.
The Municipality of Ourique and EDP Distribution agreed to carry out a set of electrification installation investments in rural context, in particular, in territories with the buildings and the scattered farms, They currently have no light.
The Session Signing of the 1st Rural Eletrificações Project Phase in Ourique Municipality between the Municipality of Ourique and EDP Distribution, will take place the next day 20 of December, Thursday, by 14.30 hours, in the auditorium of the Municipal Library Jorge Sampaio, It is chaired by the Secretary of State for Energy, John Galamba.
The project, reflecting the commitment of the municipality in the development and planning, in supporting economic activity and quality of life of Ouriquenses, It will be implemented in two phases, estimated at a total investment of 1.300.000 euros (one million three hundred thousand euros).
The upgrading of the rural potential is one of the pillars of the strategic statement of the Municipality of Ourique, taking into account the risks and opportunities generated by the Mounted Row and the Alentejo Pig.
The embodiment of the first stage will project the construction of 8km airline Medium Voltage (MT) and 9km from overhead lines Low Voltage (BT), and for the installation of 11 Transformer stations with a total capacity of 660 kVA. This first phase represents an investment of 506.000,00 euros (five hundred and six thousand euros), partitioned between parties who subscribe to the agreement. The intervention foresees the realization of eletrificações in several piles of all the parishes of the county Ourique.
The formalization of the initiative, resulting from the intervention of the Municipality of Ourique with the Government, will feature The Secretary of State for Energy and many owners who will benefit from the intervention in the territory.
The Ourique Municipality will continue to advocate the realization of solutions for the enhancement of the Rural World, after actions like this have been left out of the list of measures to be supported by the current Community framework for support, the Portugal 2020, negotiated by the previous government PSD / CDS.
