Firefighters Volunteer Ourique (GFA) They have seven more elements in their active body, with the promotion of Trainee Firefighters to Terceira Firefighters.
The ceremony was presided over by the president of the Municipality of Ourique who began by highlighting the fact that “I always wanted Ourique to be able to count on a robust fire department with responsiveness”, adding Marcelo Guerreiro that “today our corporation is one of the most operational in the south of the country and an essential pillar in the protection of people and goods”, finished.
The BVO Command highlighted that “now another cycle begins where you apply all the knowledge transmitted by the firefighters who gave you training and who accompanied you in this stage, whom we also have to thank for their willingness to pass on their knowledge”, justified.
These new seven Terceira Firefighters, join a corporation that had an Active Body of 61 elements, supported by 29 vehicles, and 16 of health services, 2 of extrication, 8 fire fighting, 2 of general services and 3 command.
Remember that last March, BVO received a new tactical command vehicle (VCOT), an investment 60 thousand euros, reimbursed in 40 thousand euros by the Municipality and the company Somincor.
The team and transformation of the vehicle had the participation of the municipality of Ourique and the mining company Somincor, located in the neighboring municipality of Castro Verde, each of the institutions having filed 20 thousand euros and the remaining amount supported by the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Ourique (AHBVO).
