Professional higher education will reach the municipality of Ourique, with the implementation, in 2024-2025, of a Higher Professional Technical Course (CTeSP) in Technologies for Quality and Safety Management, in a partnership between the Municipality of Ourique, the Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPBeja) and the Qualifica Center.

This partnership represents an advance in terms of educational provision and an important boost for local and regional development. The protocol signed between IPBEJA and the Municipality of Ourique aims to implement the Higher Professional Technical Course (CTeSP) of Technologies for Quality and Safety Management, in Ourique.
CTeSP are higher education courses with a practical nature, lasting two years, which includes an internship 6 months. All holders of the 12th year of schooling can apply, of a professional level course 4, or legally equivalent qualification. CTeSP guarantee a level diploma 5, which means that they do not award a higher academic degree, but allow, after completion of CTeSP, applying for a degree and having equivalences, thus shortening the study period.
The Municipality of Ourique expressed its unequivocal support for this project, recognizing it as an added value for the people of Ourique and the entire region. The arrival of professional higher education in Ourique opens up new training and qualification opportunities for young people and adults in the community, contributing to a more promising and dynamic future.
