The Garvão Fair is registered in the best of the Rural World of our region, it is part of our identity and an important moment of exposure of our productive capacity.
Despite the community effort that has been made to keep the pandemic at levels compatible with the responses of the national health system, this year it will still not be possible to meet again to affirm the traditions and the best work of our producers.
Anyways, the Municipality of Ourique, the Alentejo Pig Breeders Association (ACPA) and the Union of Parishes of Garvão and Santa Luzia make a point of remembering the Garvão Fair, its importance as a stage for experiences, of reunions and affirmation of our rurality.
Between the days 7 and 9 May, na Facebook page, on the YouTube channel of the Municipality of Ourique, content about the cow is to be emitted, the Alentejo rafeiro, horse riding and bull racing, there are also moments of musical entertainment in charge of the Duo Kontraste and Singers of Baldão.
The Mayor of Ourique, Marcelo Guerreiro, the ACPA President, Nuno Faustino and the President of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and Sea, Pedro do Carmo, will intervene on the Garvão Fair.
